1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using G'Day Backpacker Jobs ("the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. Job seekers must hold or be eligible for an appropriate Australian work visa. Employers must be legitimate businesses with a valid Australian Business Number (ABN).
3. Job Seeker Terms
- The Platform is free for job seekers — we will never charge you to apply
- You must provide accurate and truthful information in your profile and applications
- After registration you must complete your profile (name, location, and short bio). A profile photo is optional unless you opt in to employer discovery
- Profile photos are optional but must be appropriate (no nudity, violence, or offensive content). We use automated checks and may remove photos that breach our guidelines
- If you opt in to "Show me to Urgent Hire employers," verified employers with an active Urgent Hire listing in your state may see your photo, first name, city, state, short bio, and skills — not your email or phone until you choose to apply
- You can turn off employer discovery at any time in your profile settings
- You are responsible for verifying that any job offer is legitimate before accepting
- You must hold the right to work in Australia for any role you apply to
4. Employer Terms
- You must provide a valid ABN and accurate company information
- All job listings must be for genuine, paid employment opportunities
- You must not charge fees to workers for job placement
- Job postings must comply with Australian employment law and the Fair Work Act
- We reserve the right to remove any listing that appears fraudulent or misleading
- Talent nearby (Urgent Hire only): While you have an active Urgent Hire featured listing, you may browse limited profiles of job seekers who have opted in in the same state. You may send invitations to apply; this is not a guarantee of employment and does not bypass our application process
- You must not harass, spam, or misuse worker contact paths; invitations must relate to a genuine job you have posted
- Standout and Basic listings do not include talent discovery — only active Urgent Hire listings during the featured period
5. Privacy & Talent Discovery
Worker profiles used in talent discovery are shown only as described above and only to employers with eligible Urgent Hire access. Employers must not export, scrape, or share worker data outside the Platform. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Post false, misleading or fraudulent content
- Collect personal data from other users without consent or outside Platform features
- Use the Platform to spam or harass other users
- Attempt to circumvent security measures or Prime-only access controls
- Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data, including worker profiles
7. Payments & Refunds
Paid listings (Standout and Urgent Hire tiers) are charged at the time of posting. Refunds are available within 24 hours of purchase if the listing has not yet been published. Contact us at billing@gdayjobs.com.au.
8. Disclaimers
G'Day Backpacker Jobs is a platform connecting job seekers with employers. We do not guarantee employment outcomes, and we are not party to any employment contract. We verify employer ABNs but cannot guarantee the legitimacy of every listing — always do your own due diligence.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, G'Day Backpacker Jobs is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
