Uluru
The resort town is Yulara, not a town called Uluru. The sealed Lasseter Highway runs from Erldunda on the Stuart Highway. The base walk around Uluru and the sunset viewing areas are the core visit. Climbing Uluru is not allowed. Kata Tjuta’s Valley of the Winds is a separate walk and needs an early start in hot months. This is remote travel: carry extra water even though the road itself is sealed.
Suggested time: 2 nights at Yulara.
